About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead production employees and oversee daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced food processing environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. You’ll lead and develop employees, monitor production performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance with food safety and USDA requirements.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working on the production floor and making real-time decisions to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, train, and motivate hourly production employees.

  • Ensure daily production goals, quality standards, and efficiency targets are met.

  • Monitor production yields, efficiencies, downtime, and variances.

  • Make real-time adjustments to improve production flow and minimize downtime.

  • Conduct daily production floor inspections and address unsafe conditions.

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, USDA, food safety, and quality requirements.

  • Train employees on safe operating procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

  • Ensure employees follow established procedures and product specifications.

  • Conduct regular line meetings and communicate daily production objectives and results.

  • Work closely with management and other departments to resolve production issues.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment utilization, efficiency, and cost control.

  • Assist with equipment setup, routine maintenance, and facility needs.

  • Support safety audits and ergonomic improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Previous experience leading, training, coaching, or mentoring employees.

  • Manufacturing, production, or food processing experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze production data, yields, efficiencies, and variances.

  • Strong problem-solving, math, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to motivate employees and build a positive, team-oriented work environment.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions.

  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and varying schedules when needed.

  • Ability to travel up to 5% as needed.

Additional Skills That Are a Plus

  • Experience with SAP or other manufacturing/ERP systems.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, spreadsheets, and other computer-based systems.

  • Experience with inventory or order processing software.

  • Knowledge of food processing operations.

  • Understanding of production yields, plant efficiencies, and manufacturing procedures.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical & Work Environment

This position requires working in a manufacturing/production facility that may include:

  • Wet or humid conditions.

  • Extreme hot and cold temperatures.

  • Exposure to moving mechanical equipment.

  • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.

  • Moderate to loud noise levels.

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.

  • Frequent use of hands, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and other physical activities.

  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to perform tasks requiring close and distance
