Salary: $55,000-$85,000 per year, based on experience
Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: Full-time; weekends and overtime may be required
Location: On-site

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift production team in a fast-paced food processing and manufacturing environment.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee daily production activities, lead hourly employees, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and work to achieve production and efficiency goals. You will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly while developing and supporting your team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, train, and motivate hourly production employees on 2nd shift.

  • Ensure daily production, quality, safety, and efficiency goals are met.

  • Monitor production yields, efficiencies, downtime, and variances.

  • Make real-time adjustments to improve production flow and minimize downtime.

  • Conduct daily production floor inspections and address unsafe conditions.

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, USDA, food safety, and quality requirements.

  • Train employees on safe operating procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

  • Ensure employees follow established procedures and product specifications.

  • Communicate daily production objectives, priorities, and results to the team and management.

  • Lead regular line meetings and maintain strong communication across shifts and departments.

  • Work with management and maintenance to resolve equipment and production issues.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment utilization, efficiency, and cost control.

  • Assist with equipment setup, routine maintenance, and facility needs.

  • Support safety audits and ergonomic improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Previous experience leading, training, coaching, or mentoring employees.

  • Manufacturing, production, or food processing experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze production data, yields, efficiencies, and variances.

  • Strong problem-solving, math, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to motivate employees and build a positive, team-oriented work environment.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions.

  • Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and extended hours when needed.

  • Ability to travel up to 5% as needed.

Additional Skills That Are a Plus

  • Experience with SAP or other manufacturing/ERP systems.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Experience with inventory or order processing software.

  • Knowledge of food processing operations.

  • Understanding of production yields, plant efficiencies, and manufacturing procedures.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical & Work Environment

This position requires working in a manufacturing/production facility that may include:

  • Wet or humid conditions.

  • Extreme hot and cold temperatures.

  • Exposure to moving mechanical equipment.

  • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.

  • Moderate to loud noise levels.

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.

  • Frequent use of hands, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to perform tasks requiring close and distance vision and adjustment of focus.
