3rd shift Metallurgical Lab Technician in Morgantown, PA

LAB TECHNICIAN - 3RD SHIFT | $31.25/HR

Location: Morgantown, PA
Schedule: Midnight-8:00 AM
Pay: $28.42/hour plus 10% shift differential (approximately $31.26/hour)

This is a manufacturing/materials laboratory position-not a medical or clinical lab. The Lab Technician will prepare and test metal samples to ensure they meet quality and production specifications.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepare, machine, heat, cool, and test metal and raw-material samples

• Operate laboratory equipment, including lathes and button furnaces

• Analyze material chemistry and other required specifications

• Review, document, and report test results

• Retest samples and escalate results that do not meet specifications

• Follow all laboratory, quality, and safety procedures

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or college education preferred

• At least one year of laboratory or analytical experience

• Basic chemistry knowledge

• Manufacturing, metals, materials, industrial, chemical, or quality-control lab experience strongly preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills

• Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and standing throughout the shift

• Available to train on 1st shift for approximately 2-4 weeks before transitioning to 3rd shift
