Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machine tools to produce precision components to exacting specifications. This role will perform a variety of machining operations including boring, milling, drilling, facing, threading, profiling, and contouring.

The ideal candidate has strong blueprint-reading skills, experience setting up and programming CNC equipment, and the ability to use precision measuring instruments to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sample parts, and engineering information to determine machining methods and sequence of operations.
• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machine tools to produce parts within required tolerances and finish specifications.
• Calculate and set machine controls or enter commands to retrieve, input, and edit CNC programs.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.
• Perform machining operations including boring, milling, drilling, facing, threading, profiling, and contouring.
• Verify machine setups, tooling, and calibrations prior to production.
• Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously when required.
• Troubleshoot machining and setup issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain established production and quality standards.
• Follow all written work instructions, safety procedures, and machine operating requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Experience setting up and programming at least one CNC machine.
• Ability to operate manual machining equipment.
