Field Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to repair, fabricate, install, and remove a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, along with other rotating equipment. This position involves both shop and field work, including equipment troubleshooting, laser alignment, start-ups, repairs, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong pump rebuilding experience, excellent mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently at customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Remove and replace pumps and motors

  • Perform laser alignment of pumps and motors

  • Conduct equipment start-ups and troubleshooting

  • Replace and repair mechanical seals

  • Service API and ANSI pumps

  • Repair and rebuild centrifugal and plunger pumps

  • Perform field installation, removal, and replacement of rotating equipment

  • Accurately complete field service reports, job tickets, and documentation

  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and shop equipment

  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure equipment performance

  • Assist with vibration analysis and dynamic balancing activities when applicable

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience in pump rebuilding and field service work

  • Extensive knowledge of centrifugal pump repair and rebuilding

  • Ability to work in both field and shop environments

  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments

  • Experience with laser alignment preferred

  • Vibration analysis experience preferred but not required

  • Knowledge of dynamic balancing is a plus

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including rain and snow

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with mechanical equipment for extended periods

Schedule & Travel

  • First Shift

  • Overtime required as business needs dictate

  • Frequent local travel to customer sites

  • Most job sites are within approximately one hour of the Phoenix area
