Industrial Electrician - 3rd Shift - Morgantown, PA
Location: Morgantown, PA
Shift: 3rd Shift, 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Pay: $33.81 - $40.23/hour (based on experience) + 10% shift premium + quarterly bonus
About the Role
We're hiring an Industrial Electrician to support 480V/3-phase electrical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and plant maintenance operations at our metals manufacturing facility (Melt Shop and Raw Materials processing). This is heavy industrial work - not residential, commercial, or solar. You'll troubleshoot, install, and maintain electrical and control systems that keep production running, working within National Electrical Code and all state/local codes.
What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on electrical support up to 480V/3-phase
- Troubleshoot, modify, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Plan and coordinate installation of new plant equipment
- Install control circuitry (motor, hydraulic, pneumatic)
- Perform electrical preventative maintenance
- Maintain electrical parts/supply inventory and order replacements
- Recommend equipment reliability and productivity improvements
- Supervise outside contractors working in-plant
- Fill in on non-electrical repairs during vacations, shortages, or emergencies
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience as an electrician in an industrial/manufacturing environment (heavy industrial preferred - steel, metals, foundry, or similar)
- High school diploma/GED required; 2-year Electrical Degree preferred
- Working knowledge of motor control circuits and/or PLCs
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of health/safety codes
- Comfortable working with contractors of various trades
- Must be willing to work 3rd shift, with availability for weekends, holidays, and shift changes based on business needs (minimum 50% weekend/holiday coverage required)
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able to provide proof of citizenship/status for export control compliance
- PLC experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens platforms a plus
- Journeyman electrician certification a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- $33.81-$40.23/hour based on experience
- 10% shift premium for 3rd shift
- Merit review eligibility in 2027
