    About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Industrial Process Operator to support the safe receipt, transfer, and storage of bulk raw materials in a manufacturing environment.

This is an active, equipment-focused position-not a traditional warehouse or material-handler role. You will operate and monitor pumps, valves, hoses, piping, tanks, steam systems, and other industrial equipment used to transfer bulk materials from tankers and rail cars into storage.

The ideal candidate has experience working around industrial equipment and understands basic mechanical systems. Direct bulk-transfer or chemical experience is helpful, but not required. Candidates with experience in manufacturing, process operations, chemical operations, food/beverage production, utilities, wastewater, industrial equipment, or similar environments are encouraged to apply.

    What You'll Do

    • Safely unload and transfer bulk raw materials from tankers and rail cars

    • Connect and disconnect hoses, pumps, valves, and transfer equipment

    • Operate pumps, valves, steam systems, and related process equipment

    • Prepare tankers and rail cars for safe material transfer

    • Vent rail cars and follow established transfer procedures

    • Use steam to heat materials when necessary to support proper transfer

    • Monitor tank temperatures, pressure, levels, and operating conditions

    • Perform routine rounds and inspections throughout the process

    • Ensure materials are transferred to the correct tanks and locations

    • Load and unload materials while maintaining accurate records

    • Operate forklifts and other industrial material-handling equipment

    • Identify abnormal equipment conditions and communicate issues appropriately

    • Maintain accurate inventory and shipment documentation

    • Use SAP and Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication

    • Follow all DOT, HAZMAT, safety, environmental, and company procedures

    • Participate in Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement activities

    • Work independently after completing training and qualification requirements

    What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working with industrial equipment.

    You should have:

    • High school diploma or GED

    • Stable work history

    • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial processes

    • Ability to understand basic pumps, valves, piping, hoses, plumbing, and material-transfer systems

    • Ability to safely work outdoors in changing weather conditions

    • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, rail cars, and tankers

    • Ability to work around machinery, chemicals, dust, fumes, and loud equipment

    • Ability to wear required PPE and follow strict safety procedures

    • Ability to complete a physical/human performance evaluation

    Experience That Transfers Well

You do not need previous bulk-transfer experience to be considered.

Experience in any of the following can be a strong fit:

    • Process Operator

    • Chemical Operator

    • Production Operator

    • Industrial Operator

    • Plant Operator

    • Manufacturing Operator

    • SAP or computerized production systems

    • DOT, HAZMAT, or industrial safety procedures

No CDL, HAZWOPER, or specialized shipping certification is required. Forklift qualification and job-specific training are provided.

    Physical & Work Environment

This is a physically demanding, hands-on industrial position, with approximately 70-80% of the work performed outdoors.

    The position may require:

    • Climbing on and underneath tankers and rail cars

    • Climbing ladders and elevated platforms

    • Connecting and disconnecting hoses

    • Operating pumps, valves, and transfer equipment

    • Walking and standing for extended periods

    • Bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling

    • Working around chemicals and industrial materials
