Installation Technician in Noblesville, IN

Storm Search is conducting a DIRECT HIRE search for a Machine Installation Technician in Noblesville, IN.

• Location: Noblesville, IN + national travel 50% of the time
• Shift: Day shift (home every weekend)
• Pay: $25-$33/hour
• Excellent growth potential into an Engineering position

Key Responsibilities

• Install and set up CNC machines on the shop floor and at customer sites
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Test equipment connections and machine functionality to ensure proper operation
• Load and unload machinery from trailers and containers
• Unpack, assemble, and pre-commission machines
• Inspect and repair any shipping-related damage
• Perform machine and bar loader alignments
• Run basic programs to verify machines meet customer specifications
• Disassemble, package, and prepare machines for shipment
• Support installations at trade shows, dealer facilities, and customer locations as needed
• Assist with logistics and safe handling of machinery
• Maintain clean work areas and support 6S, lean, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or field service
• Hands-on experience with CNC machinery installation or similar equipment preferred
• Ability to use hand tools and electrical tools

Technical Skills

• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to wire and rig machinery
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Work Environment

• Combination of shop floor, customer sites, and outdoor environments
• Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying weather conditions
• Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, and moving mechanical parts
• Standard hours are Monday-Friday, with additional hours as needed
