Field Service Technician Lead - Heat Exchangers
Location: Milwaukee, WI- Field Service

Responsibilities
- Lead field technicians during equipment installation, commissioning, inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Serve as the primary on-site customer contact and provide professional project updates
- Assign daily work, coordinate crews, and provide technical guidance
- Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA, LOTO, PPE, JHA, and customer safety requirements are followed
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems
- Diagnose and repair motors, VFDs, sensors, controls, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, and couplings
- Perform equipment alignments and mechanical inspections
- Service and commission air fin coolers, plate heat exchangers, shell & tube heat exchangers, and related industrial equipment
- Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation
- Use multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic equipment
- Complete digital service reports and recommend corrective actions
- Train and mentor technicians while maintaining strong safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial field service, industrial maintenance, or related technical experience
- Previous crew lead or technical leadership experience preferred
- Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with motors, VFDs, sensors, controls, pumps, bearings, and gearboxes
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs
- Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with heat exchangers, air fin coolers, plate heat exchangers, or shell & tube equipment is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of LOTO and industrial electrical safety
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work in industrial environments, climb/balance, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
