Maintenance Technician in Hartford, WI

Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • Pay - $28-$38
  • Sign-On Bonus Available - Up to $2,500

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial machinery and mechanical equipment

  • Diagnose equipment issues by observing machinery in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments

  • Remove and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranes

  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment and basic machinist skills

  • Adjust functional parts and control instruments to manufacturer and company specifications

  • Help minimize downtime through scheduled preventive maintenance activities

  • Operate equipment including:

    • Forklifts

    • Electric carts

    • Articulating booms

    • Manlifts

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability

  • Electrical experience required; PLC knowledge preferred

  • Experience with:

    • Hydraulics & pneumatics

    • Conveyor systems

    • Chain drives

    • Gearbox rebuilds

    • Belt replacement

    • Motor replacement

    • HVAC systems

    • Plumbing systems

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics

  • Experience using precision measuring devices and lifting equipment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Ability to safely perform all required job duties

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing

  • Frequent use of hands and tools

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED/HSED equivalent required

  • 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred

  • Manufacturing environment experience is a plus
