Mold Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Pay: $22.00/hour + $1.00/hour 2nd shift differential
Permanent Shift: 2:42 PM-11:12 PM
Training: Approximately 3 months on 1st shift
What You'll Do
- Assist with injection mold disassembly and assembly
- Move molds and separate mold plates and components
- Clean mold components before reassembly
- Perform pin changes and basic configuration changes
- Use hand tools to disassemble and reassemble mechanical components
- Clean parts using solvents
- Perform sandblasting and ultrasonic cleaning
- Lubricate mold components
- Remove plastic and buildup from molds
- Follow preventive maintenance procedures for molds and tooling
- Inspect and protect cleaned components from damage
- Properly organize and store mold components
- Maintain a clean and organized tool room
- Clean equipment and work areas
- Assist with other tool room and manufacturing duties as needed
What We're Looking For
You do not need years of injection molding experience for this position.
The most important qualifications are:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable working with a variety of hand tools
- 1-3 years of work experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, maintenance, automotive, machining, or similar hands-on environment
- Ability to take mechanical components apart and correctly reassemble them
- Basic computer skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and preventive maintenance procedures
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Willingness to learn injection molds and tool room processes
