Process Technician - 1st Shift

Pay: $16.00-$19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-1:00 PM
Overtime: Available as needed, potentially until 5:00 PM and occasional weekend

We are hiring multiple Process Technicians for a growing manufacturing operation in Fort Wayne. This is a hands-on production position focused on batching, mixing, raw material handling, packaging, and process support.

We are looking for candidates with manufacturing or production experience who are dependable, safety-focused, and willing to learn. Previous batching, chemical, coatings, or process manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.

What You'll Do

• Stage and prepare raw materials for production batches
• Follow batch instructions and established manufacturing processes
• Mix and produce batches according to production requirements
• Operate packaging and production equipment
• Monitor raw material levels and communicate shortages
• Help determine the most efficient sequence for batching and production changeovers
• Work closely with Quality Control to ensure products meet requirements
• Use scanners and basic computer systems to track production
• Maintain clean and organized batching and packaging areas
• Report spills, leaks, equipment issues, safety concerns, and material shortages
• Assist other production lines when needed
• Support hazardous material/waste handling under trained supervision
• Follow all plant safety procedures and PPE requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous manufacturing, production, processing, or batching experience
• Ability to safely handle raw materials and follow written production instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn production equipment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Basic computer skills
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed
• Ability to work safely around chemicals and manufacturing materials
