R&D Engineering Manager

We are seeking an innovative R&D Manager to lead the development of next-generation aerospace assembly technologies. This role will drive R&D strategy, technology roadmaps, product innovation, and intellectual property initiatives while leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the R&D strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead innovation and product development in:
    • Advanced adhesives and bonding systems
    • Thermoplastics and joining technologies
    • Laser surface preparation processes
    • Surface analysis and characterization
    • Mechanical fastening solutions
  • Oversee prototyping, testing, qualification, and commercialization activities.
  • Drive patent generation, IP strategy, and technical knowledge management.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to bring new technologies to market.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing R&D team.
  • Track and communicate key R&D metrics, program status, and innovation outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • 8+ years of R&D experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Experience leading technical teams and complex development programs.
  • Strong background in materials, joining technologies, product development, and innovation.
  • Proven success in patent generation and intellectual property development.
