Raw Material Handler/Forklift Operator in Morgantown, PA

Storm Search is looking for a candidate for a direct-hire Raw Material Handler/Forklift Operator opportunity in the Morgantown, PA area.

What You'll Do

• Move large bins and containers of raw materials throughout the facility using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

• Set up and operate press machines that compact materials into bricks for furnace processing.

• Perform material sorting, shearing, blending, pressing, cleaning, sizing, and compacting.

• Operate forklifts, front-end loaders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.

• Assist with processing titanium revert, sponge, and alloy materials.

• Perform basic equipment checks and assist with maintenance and repairs as needed.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Complete production assignments and accurately record shop-floor information.

• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and production standards.

• Evaluate equipment and work areas for safety at the beginning and end of each shift.

• Cross-train in additional operations, including torch operations, to support a flexible manufacturing environment.

• Communicate equipment, material, and safety concerns to team members and supervisors.

• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and help identify ways to reduce waste and improve production.

• Train coworkers on processes once fully proficient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous industrial, manufacturing, material handling, or machine operation experience is preferred.

• Forklift experience or certification is preferred.

• Welding experience is a strong plus.

• Experience with shearing, blending, or pressing equipment is a plus.

• Plasma cutting experience is a plus.

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are highly valued.

• College education or technical training is preferred, but not required.

• Must be willing to learn new equipment and cross-train in multiple areas.
