TIG Welder - 1st Shift

Location: Fremont, CA - Bay Area
Pay: $35-$44/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Overtime: Available based on business needs

We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder with strong stainless-steel welding skills to join a specialized manufacturing team. This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity for a detail-oriented welder who can consistently produce precise, high-quality welds.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG/GTAW welding, primarily fusion TIG welding on stainless steel
• Weld stainless steel and perform some copper-to-stainless-steel welding
• Produce precise, vacuum-tight and leak-tight welds
• Complete welds in tight or hard-to-reach areas
• Select proper weld settings and filler materials for various applications
• Read and follow drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions
• Understand proper welding sequence and order of operations
• Identify datum points and sequence hole penetrations appropriately
• Work with supervisors and experienced welders to complete projects to specification
• Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of TIG welding experience required
• Strong experience welding stainless steel
• Knowledge of metallurgy and proper welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Experience selecting proper weld settings and filler rod materials
• Welding certification, technical training, Associate Degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Vacuum welding or vacuum system experience is a plus
• Experience producing leak-tight or vacuum-tight welds is highly preferred
