Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Troubleshoot 24V-480V electrical systems, motors, motor starters, transformers and industrial controls
- Troubleshoot PLCs, ladder logic, I/O, VFDs, servo drives and communication systems
- Diagnose and repair sensors and controls including photo eyes, proximity sensors, relays, limit switches, solenoids and encoders
- Maintain and repair motors, gearboxes, pumps, fans, conveyors and timing belts
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Support automated and robotic production equipment
- Document maintenance activities and repairs using a CMMS
- Partner with production and maintenance teams on equipment reliability and improvement projects
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance or equivalent apprenticeship experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motors, drives and industrial equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot 24V-480V electrical systems and read electrical schematics
- High school diploma/GED required
